Oktoberfest

Rustic Road Brewing Company invites you to join us at our third annual Lakeside Oktoberfest; 4-10 p.m.Thurs. Sept. 26, 4-11 Fri. Sept. 27, 11-11 Sat. Sept. 28 and 11-6 p.m. Sun. Sept. 29. The festival kicks off at Celebration Place at Harbor Park in downtown Kenosha. This event will feature 4 days of live music, food, family style entertainment, and of course, Rustic Road’s very own Crafted Brews – a true celebration of Kenosha in Deutschland style!

This event boasts a full line up of music throughout the weekend. The tunes start Thursday at 4 p.m. with John Montella. On Friday the fun starts up again with The Spirit Shakers at 4 p.m. and the Peacetree Allstars at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, local celebrity, Kai Andersen, gets the party started at noon. Nuke Plant Chickens to follow at 1 p.m. and more music at 4 p.m. with Ben Mulwana. Saturday closes out with the pop punk band Revival at 7:30 p.m. Sunday opens up with the cover band Crossover at 11:30 a.m. Our final band for the 2024 annual Lakeside Oktoberfest is local favorite Would You Kindly? at 3 p.m.

What’s an Oktoberfest without delicious German food? Rustic Road Brewing Company is grilling up brats from local butcher Hometown Meats, served on a Paielli’s Bun with all the fixin’s. The brewery’s pop-up food stand will also have giant German pretzels, homemade potato pancakes, schnitzel sandwiches, pickles on a stick, charcuterie boxes and fried cheese curds. Lakeside Oktoberfest is excited to also welcome Cut Stone Foods, MB Sweet Treats, Mr. Wings, Hydn Cheese, and Picos Tacos throughout the event. Brats, pretzels, pizza, tacos, grilled cheese, wings and of course craft beer! There is something for everyone!

Calling all the “Wurst” runners! Saturday morning at 10 am, The Boys and Girls club of Kenosha is hosting their .1k Brat Trot. Registration is $30 for adults, $15 for kids and includes the race, a brat or hot dog, a beer (21+) and an event t-shirt. Costumes are encouraged! Don’t worry, there will be a hydration station in the middle of the .1k race.

Rustic Road Brewing Company has planned a whole weekend of fun for our Oktoberfest entertainment. In support of brewer Andy’s daughter Ava and her battle against leukemia, The Fighting for Ava Foundation is hosting a dart ball tournament to raise money for local families in Wisconsin battling childhood cancer. The tournament begins at 11 am, teams of four and same day sign up. Saturday at Lakeside Oktoberfest is Veterean’s Day. For every stein purchased on Saturday, $2 will be donated to the Kenosha American Legion. Stein Hoisting, if you don’t know, is a traditional Bavarian strength contest in which competitors hold a full beer stein in front of their bodies with a straight arm, the person who holds the stein longest is declared the winner. Test your strength at 3:30 pm Saturday at the American Legion Stein Hoist, both men and women competitions.

Sunday morning Lakeside Oktoberfest is opening with a traditional German breakfast. Join us under the big tent for a full breakfast spread of cold cuts, cheeses, jams, breads, eggs, sausages and potato pancakes. September 29th is family day at the festival. There will be bounce houses, bubbles, kids crafts, balloon art and face painting. Bring your pups to the party for some Oktoberfest fun. Sunday at 2:30 p.m. we’re putting on our most anticipated event, the Oktoberfest Dog Costume Contest! Dirndls and Lederhosen are encouraged, but all doggie costumes are welcome! To close out the festival, we’re going to have a bit of fun. At 3 pm, we’re hosting our very first “brat toss.” It’s like an egg toss, but with a fully loaded bratwurst, plastic aprons will be provided. The team to keep their brat in the bun the longest and farthest will be named the King or Queen Kraut of the 2024 Lakeside Oktoberfest. Our final event of the weekend will be the Meat Raffle – Brat Slingshot. Tickets for the meat raffle are $10, this will give you entry into the “brat field.” Rustic Road will be launching packages of bratwurst via slingshot, catch what you can to win!
